You will reach the homestay gate in just two and a half hours by reserve vehicle from New Mal Junction. It will take about three and a half hours by reserve vehicle from NJP. If you have some time, there is no harm to stop and take selfies at Ambek, ChelKhola, Lava Monastery and Lava View Point. Surreal view of Garubathan -> Lava to Mairung Gaon road will surely refresh you on the way. It will take about three and a half hours by reserve vehicle from NJP either via Kalimpong or Via Garubathan.
